One needs to take account of whether he is farther from his ultimate goal or nearer. Sometimes we get so busy with our work, that we neither have time for oursleves nor our family; but people forget that working like that will be of no use if you're not healthy to enjoy the fruits of your labor or you don't have your family to enjoy with. On the other hand, this doesn't mean one should give up all the work. The key is to strike a balance so that you get best of both the worlds.
